Back in June, the Elley family (descendants of George & Louise Elley) had its first family reunion. Most of the family had never met Alexander. And of course, Alexander suddenly became uncharacteristically shy and stayed close to me or his Nana. When the pressure was off, he did venture off and play with some of the other youngsters.
Aidan really connected with Thomas (Nana's cousin's son). They two are only a year apart even though they are actually a generation apart. The boys invented all sorts of games with complex rules (don't ask me; I'm clueless!), ran around like crazy, played with their electronics, and whatever else their little minds thought up.
In the end, though, Aidan got fed up with my picture taking and tried to chase me down! :) Silly boy!
